Heritage craft village inside Shangri-La resort
Every element was made the way it would have been made: mud walls, thatched roofs, timber posts left in their natural form, a stone water spout, salvaged doors with their original paint.
At its centre sits an amphitheatre for performance and community gathering. Tradition rebuilt with reverence rather than replicated as scenery.
